Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy Box Office Income Reaches P300 Million

The MMFF-entry movie “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” featuring Vice Ganda as the lead character who plays the role of a quadruplets continued its its strong showing in terms of ticket sales and box office, as it passes the P300-million mark as confirmed by Star Cinema.

The 2nd Best Picture winner “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” crosses a new milestones on Philippine box office earnings on Friday, January 3, 2014. The P300-million income of the movie was announced by Star Cinema’s advertising and promotions manager Mico del Rosario.

Vice Ganda thanks his fans and supporters during “It’s Showtime” on Friday especially those who have already watched the film and invite those who have not seen the top-grossing movie.

The 37-year-old Vice Ganda was quoted as saying “Maraming, maraming salamat po sa lahat ng madlang people. Punung-puno po talaga na pasasalamat ang puso ko sa pagpasok ng bagong taon, kasi ang saya. Maraming napasaya ang ‘Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.’ he said.

Vice Ganda added further that “Sa lahat ng mga patuloy na nanonood, deserve na deserve po natin talaga tumawa ngayong bagong taon… Sa lahat ng nabasa kong tweets, lahat ng narinig ko at nabasa kong reviews, sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako. Kasi hindi niyo lang pinanood ang ‘Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy,’ pinuri niyo pa, kaya maraming, maraming salamat,” he said.

The movie “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” trailed behind the top-grossing film, “My Little Bossings” since the first day of showing. Ranking third and fourth in box office income are the movies “Pagpag” and “Kimmy Dora.”

Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy is directed by Wenn Deramas, co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films. The movie features a quadruplets who were split into pairs when they were babies. A sibling in need of a liver transplant brings the four together for the first time, but unresolved issues involving their parents as well as rivalry mar the reunion.
