Luis Manzano maintains that he and KC Concepcion are just friends despite persistent rumors romantically linking the two stars.
Although both single, Luis opts to leave things as they are because “mahirap pangunahan ang kahit na anong mga bagay-bagay.”
“Right now, we’re enjoying each other’s company, we’re friends. Kaya kong sabihin na walang halong ka-showbiz-an na magkaibigan talaga kami ni KC,” he told PEP in an interview.
The “Minute To Win It” host also revealed having worked with KC in past projects which explains their closeness.
“May innate chemistry kami ni KC – siguro ’yung similarities ng buhay namin,” he added, referring to themselves being born to celebrity parents.
Asked if he is courting the Megadaughter, who was recently linked to actor Paulo Avelino and Azkals player Phil Younghusband, Luis clarified, “Nanligaw? Hindi, kasi para sa amin, iba kasi ’yung… let’s call it relationship namin ni KC. Dahil sa similarities namin, so we do always have that same denominator, na ’yung pinanggalingan namin, ’yung history namin. Nandun palagi ’yung bond na ’yun no matter what.”
Luis, just the same, does not want to divulge any details pertaining to his relationship with exes Angel Locsin and Jennylyn Mercado.
While he had no contact with Jennylyn during the recent holidays, Luis admitted sending his greetings to Angel.
“Basta ako, binati ko ’yung tao… lalagyan kasi ng kulay kahit na ano ang sabihin ko. Basta ako, bumati ako ng ‘Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’ sa mga kaibigan ko. Lalagyan ng kulay kahit na ano ang sabihin ko, so ’yung mga detalye na ’yun, sa aming dalawa na ’yun,” he said in the same PEP interview.
Like Angel, who is recently single, Luis maintains that he is still undergoing the “long process” of moving on from his last relationship with Jennylyn.
“Pero sabi ko nga, you will realize your worth, you will realize that things happen for a reason. So, moving on is a process… maybe short or a longer process, but it won’t stop that for anything or everything.”
