Dawn Zulueta Is Now A Part Of "Dyesebel"

Dawn Zulueta's timeless beauty will once again grace television screens as the mother of Anne Curtis' "Dyesebel," which is due to start taping soon. She will play the role of Lucia.

Dawn said she's very thrilled to be part of "Dyesebel." "Napakaganda ng pasok sa akin ng 2014 dahil sa Dyesebel. I'm looking forward to working with Anne Curtis. This is my first project with her."

It was only last January 9 that Dreamscape Entertainment revealed who will play "Dyesebel." There have been much speculation in the past about the actress who will play the titular role. There were even surveys on the topic.

Some said it will be Kim Chiu, Julia Montes, Bea Alonzo, KC Concepcion and until lately, Jessy Mendiola. Everyone was surprised when Anne was chosen as the new lovelorn mermaid because her name was never one of the front-runners.

This is not the first time Anne will play a mermaid. One of her characters in "Dyosa" was also a mermaid.

Aside from Anne and Dawn, Gerald Anderson will play the role of Fredo while Sam Milby will be Liro. They will also be joined by other cast including Eula Valdes, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Gabby Concepcion and Ai Ai Delas Alas.

Dawn was included in "Dyesebel" after her supposed comeback teleserye with Richard Gomez was shelved. Supposedly entitled "You're My Home," the series would have starred Iza Calzado, Cherry Pie Picache, Enchong Dee, Shaina Magdayao, Ella Cruz and Francis Magundayao.

Iza is now a part of Bea Alonzo's and Paulo Avelino's "Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon. The other cast of "You're My Home" will be given their own projects, which will be under Dreamscape Entertainment as well.
