In an exclusive interview with the King of Talk, Boy Abunda at her new residence in Quezon City, Kris Aquino talked about her London trip with Josh and Bimby, details of her contract renewal with ABS-CBN, the success of My Little Bossings and its rivalry with Vice Ganda’s movie, among others.
First, she shared details of her contract renewal with ABS-CBN and how her priorities include saving for her children’s future, as aired yesterday on the “Buzz ng Bayan.” However, some parts if the interview was not aired on the showbiz talk show and was aired exclusively on “Kris TV” today.
According to Kris, she felt overwhelmed that Bimby’s movie earned 50.2 Million pesos on the film festival’s second day of showing. Further she added, “For Bimb, this is parang a one-off. Yung parang it was a great experience because I have to say thank you to Vic, si Jose (Manalo) kasi talagang he was so good to Bimb and kay direk Marlon, lahat sila so kung ito man yung first experience niya and matatagalan ‘til magkaroon ulit, at least that one experience will be a lifelong beautiful memory.”
Kris also admitted that the success of “My Little Bossings” affected her friendship with Vice Ganda given that he also has a MMFF entry. She said, “Yes. Let’s be honest. Siyempre may effect sa amin…And then I told him tapos na yan ah, and sabi niya, oo naman nagulat lang ako na ganon sila kalakas. Tapos sinabi ko, bata eh. Yung lang and then since that time, we’ve been texting, we’re okay.” Kris said that it just happened to be a rivalry and she tries to look at it through different perspectives. She also acknowledged Ai Ai Delas Alas saying, “I just have to say thank you to her for being so giving. Yung binigay niyang suporta samin na kung tutuusin that festival has been hers for so long so parang I just want to say thank you to her talaga for that generosity she showed Bimby and I know she said na, ‘friendship, para sa’yo to and Vic’…that matters a lot…”
Later, Kris talked about her vacation with Josh and Bimby in London. According to her, they were able to try various public transportation such as the underground train system. She also mentioned preparing meals for the kids and washing the dishes when they were abroad. When it comes to finding a partner in life, Kris said that as long as her children are good and okay, she will be happy even though she will not have a partner. However she also prayed that she will not feel lonely and that the fulfillment and joy she feels for her children now continues.
Kris thanked everyone who supported her and Bimby. She said, “It really pays also to open up your soul to the people kasi those who will be with you, yung kakapit sayo all these years is because yung pagkatao mo na ang kinapitan so gusto kong magpasalamat sa inyo kasi parang naramdaman ko po na eto na yun eh, you’ve seen the warts, you’ve seen defects, you’ve seen the impulsiveness, lahat ng mga ano pero binigay niyo sa akin yung mga gusto ko and until now, nandiyan kayo so thank you so much, maraming, maraming salamat po.” She also mentioned that there will be innovations on “Kris TV” that she is excited about.
Finally, she concluded the interview by thanking her big bosses in ABS-CBN for the trust, respect and value they immensely gave her, as well as her “KrisTV” team.
