If there's one rumor that continued to hound "Kimmy Dora" star Sam Milby in the eight years he has been in the showbiz industry, he said it is the question about his sexuality.
There have been rumors about his past relationships, the actor-singer said, but never as strong as the rumors about his sexuality. Sam said people can think whatever they want to think. In the end, what's important is that he knows who he is and he knows what's true.
He just doesn't want to fight against the rumors, Sam added. No matter what he says, he knows that people will still choose to believe what they want.
Eugene Domingo, his co-star in "Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel," said that Sam's sexuality should not be questioned because she is sure he's straight. She's an expert in telling whether one is gay or not since she has a lot of gay friends, and she can tell Sam is "solid and wild."
Last year, reporter Jobert Sucaldito wrote that Derek Ramsay called Sam gay while the former was trying to impress a young actress-singer. When he found out that the actress-singer likes Sam, Derek reportedly told her that the actor-singer is gay.
Derek denied the rumor and has since apologized to Sam for the issue.
In 2007, there was also a rumor that Sam was seen with Piolo Pascual in a Manila hotel while they were holding hands. Sam said he was never bothered by such reports.
Meanwhile, Sam is now pursuing Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola. He said he wanted her to meet his parents already, who are now in the country for vacation.
It's still very early though to tell if Jessy will someday be his girlfriend although it would be nice if she can be his girl already when he finally introduced her to his parents.
They have been keeping in touch despite of their busy schedules, the actor-singer said. He doesn't want to visit Jessy in her "Maria Mercedes" set since another one of her suitors, Jake Cuenca, is there. He also doesn't want to interfere in the young actress' work.
As for Eugene, she admitted that she was not a fan of Sam before. But now that she experiences first-hand what it's like to work with the actor, then she can say that Sam is actually underrated.
"We are used to having our beautiful actors do the same things over and over but I think Sam can do more than romantic comedy. He should be allowed to try different roles and characters kasi I think kaya naman niya."
