Kim Chiu Apologizes Because Of Controversial Statement

Kim Chiu apparently lost sleep over her controversial statement when asked about the real status of her relationship with Xian Lim.

When asked by veteran entertainment journalist Aster Amoyo about her relationship with Xian, Kimsaid they don't owe the public their private lives. Reportedly, Aster walked out of the press conference.

Kim denied anyone walked out of the venue because she immediately apologized for her statement. She said she was helped by her supporters regarding how to handle such controversy.

The actress said there's just a time when they, as artists, can be irritated by a certain line of questioning--and even how the question was asked. She refused to say though if she found Aster rude.

Kim and Xian star in the January 15 "Bride For Rent." This is their second movie after the highly successful "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?" in August last year.
