MANILA – The long wait is almost over for the fans of Coco Martin and Julia Montes as the two stars are set to reunite on the big screen.
A Philippine Entertainment Portal report published in its website on Tuesday said Montes is part of the cast of Martin’s upcoming independent film where he will play the son of veteran actress Nora Aunor.
The two Kapamilya stars, whose love team began when they were paired in the top-rating series “Walang Hanggan,” were reportedly in Malaysia just last week to shoot the movie.
This will be Martin and Montes’ second movie team-up following “A Moment In Time,” which was shown in 2013.
Aside from being reunited with Montes, Martin admitted he feels “very happy” to work Aunor, especially since his grandmother is a Noranian.
"Siyempre, napakaimportante po sa akin ng project na ito. Ang makasama ko si Miss Nora Aunor, kumbaga, isa 'yan sa mga talagang pinangarap ko," he said.
The indie movie, “Padre de Pamilya,” is under the direction of Adolf Alix Jr. and alsos feature Joel Torre, Rosanna Roces, Baron Geisler, Joem Bascon and Anita Linda.
No playdate for the movie has been announced.
