Kim Chiu has no qualms about kissing scenes

MANILA – After eight years in show business, Kim Chiu no longer worries about doing kissing scenes, especially when the story requires her to lock lips with her leading man.

In an interview with host Boy Abunda on “Bandila” Monday night, Chiu said she does not mind doing kissing scenes as long as they will enhance the story.

“Siguro po kasi 'yun ang hinihingi ng eksena, 'yun ang nasa script. Ayaw ko naman maging pabigat sa production, may gagawin pa silang iba, matatagalan pa, made-delay. Ayaw mo siyempre na ikaw ang maging dahilan ng delay,” she said.

“Hindi naman malaswa, nasa kuwento naman ‘yun. Kung hindi naman kailangan, bakit ko gagawin? Siyempre may question pero kapag kailangan okay lang,” Chiu added.

In the trailer of her upcoming movie “Bride For Rent,” Chiu is shown kissing her onscreen partner Xian Lim during a wedding scene.

Chiu admitted feeling pressured to replicate its box office success of their first movie together, “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo,” which earned over P120 million in ticket sales.

“Nakakakaba, hindi ko na alam kaninong santo pa ako magdadasal. Siguro times 10 ng weight ko, ganun kalaki ang pressure,” she said, as she urged her supporters to go out and watch their movie which opens on Wednesday, January 15.

The former "Pinoy Big Brother" teen housemate said she has learned to make the most out of her every project.

“Imporanteng leksyon 'yung pagmamahal sa trabaho kasi kung hindi mo gusto yung ginagawa mo, hindi ka rin mamahalin ng trabaho mo, hindi ka magtatagal,” she said.
