In an exclusive interview with Enrique Gil during the photo shoot of Mirabella, the actor couldn't help but express his excitement on headlining his first fantaserye. "Para sa akin first fantaserye ko, medyo hindi pa ako nakakagawa ng fantasy na teleserye at tsaka it’s good na after ng Princess and I and Muling Buksan Ang Puso na medyo mature, bumalik na naman ako sa parang Princess and I theme of show, so it's good, you know, na parang mas fresh ‘yung character, mas fresh ‘yung dating and it's nice," he said.
On his preparations for the soap, Enrique relayed, "Actually medyo don sa character lang kasi nong unang parts, nung unang weeks, medyo bulag kasi [‘yung character ko], nabubulag siya ng konti so paano kaya ‘yung pakiramdam na malabo ‘yung mata na hindi ka makakakita so ganon na medyo mas bata pa sa age ko so it's something exciting paginagawa, so it's cool."
When asked about working with his new leading lady, Julia Barretto, Enrique remarked that it’s good to work with an actress like her. “Si Julia naman it's nice to work with new artist, it’s fresh and along the way parang ‘yung chemistry namin magbui-build up pa so ngayon relax-relax.”
Sam Concepcion is also starring in Mirabella. “Okay naman, nakasama ko na si Sam ng dalawang beses, we worked together don sa Good Vibes parang magkapatid kami and dito naman magpinsan so kahit papaano okay na okay na kami,” he stated.
